Dr. Mohamed Gomaa is an Associate Professor of Accounting in the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona. He earned his Ph.D. in accounting with an accounting information systems concentration at Maastricht University. He has an MAcc from the University of South Florida with a concentration in Accounting Information Systems, and an M.S. in Decision and Information Sciences from the University of Florida. Dr. Gomaa’s research interests are in the areas of accounting information systems, judgment and decision making, auditing, and blockchain technology. His teaching compliments and builds on his research. Dr. Gomaa has developed and taught various information systems and data analytics courses, and regularly brings his research into the classroom.

Is a Professor and Chair of Technology and Operations Management Department in CBA Cal Poly Pomona. He received his Ph.D. in Operations from Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University in 2005. His main research and teaching interests are in the areas of supply chain management and business analytics with over twenty high quality publications on contemporary topics such as sharing economy, sustainability, and supply chain risk management etc. He has also been leading the College of Business Administration’s efforts in developing master level programs including the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) and the Master of Science in Digital Supply Chain Management (MSDSCM).

Is a Professor and the Chair of the Computer Information Systems department at Cal Poly Pomona and a visiting professor of the Global Business Graduate Program at Soochow University, Taiwan. He received a Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems in 1995 from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Hwang has had more than ten years of industry experience as a system analyst, project manager, and chief technology officer in the areas of e-commerce and business information systems. He was the founder-director of the Mitchell C. Hill Center for Applied Business Technology (MCHABIT) at Cal Poly Pomona in 2017 and the chief developer of eHongKong.com, an e-commerce portal site which secured a venture capital fund of US$36 million in 2001.

Shih-Tang Hwu is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He received M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from University of Washington. His research areas are empirical macroeconomics, econometrics methods, and monetary policy. In particular, he studies the dynamics of macroeconomics variables, including GDP growth rate, inflation, and stock return. He proposes new econometrics method to analyze and forecast those macroeconomics variables. His research has been published in major refereed journals such as Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Macroeconomic Dynamics. He has taught courses in econometrics, economics forecasting, and game theory.

Received his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Cincinnati and MBA (concentration in Business Statistics) from the University of North Texas. He is an active researcher and contributor to the discovery of knowledge as authors and reviewers, currently serving on the review board of the Journal of Business Research. He has also received numerous grants and awards. Dr. Jung is a Professor at the Department of International Business and Marketing at Cal Poly Pomona, where he is the founding director of the College of Business Administration's Center for Customer Insights and Digital Marketing. Dr. Jung, with his students, consulted local businesses and organizations based on solid market research, benefiting both students and businesses. Dr. Jung has supervised over 30 student theses and has involved over 50 students in his research as coauthors, preparing them for careers in industry as well as academia.

Mehrdad Koohikamali is an Assistant Professor of the Computer Information Systems department at Cal Poly Pomona. He received a M.S. in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from University of Tehran, Iran, a M.S. in Applied GIS from University of North Texas, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems from University of North Texas. His research and professional interests include location analytics and GIS, big data analytics, social media analytics, and information privacy. He is a member of the Association for Information Systems and the Decision Sciences Institute. His work appears in journals such as Decision Support Systems, Computers in Human Behavior, Informing Science, Information Technology and People, and Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing. Mehrdad has more than 10 years of working experience in various areas of GIS such as consultant, coordinator, analyst, programmer, administrator, and manager.

Linchi Kwok, Ph.D., is a Professor at Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona and a visiting professor at Sun Yat-sen Business School (AACSB-, EQUIS-, & AMBA- accredited; top 3 business schools in China). At Cal Poly Pomona, Dr. Kwok has served as the faculty advisor for several award-winning teams at the (Global) STR Student Market Analysis Competition. He focuses his research on hospitality management, service marketing, and information technology. He publishes his research work in high-impact refereed journals and has won several best paper awards at academic conferences. Additionally, his viewpoints and industry insights often appear in mainstream media outlets. Before moving to Southern California, Dr. Kwok worked at Syracuse University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Texas Tech University, and Marriott International.

Dr. Hyounae (Kelly) Min is an Assistant Professor in the Collins College of Hospitality Management at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. In particular, she is interested in the impact of diversity from both customer and employee perspectives. Is a professor at the Computer Information Systems Department at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona.) He holds a B. Sc. from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico, and a Ph. D. in Management Information Systems (2001) from Claremont Graduate University. Before joining Cal Poly Pomona in 2001, Professor Navarrete worked for Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico, where he was Chair of the Information Systems Department. His research interest is the use of Information Technology to support individuals’, groups’, and organizations’ productivity. Professor Navarrete has published several journal and conference articles. He is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Information Technology for Development and RECALSI. He is the recipient of several awards through his academic carrier. He was a Fulbright scholar from 1991 to 1994.

Dr. Mohammad Salehan is an Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems. He received his Ph.D. in Business from University of North Texas in 2015. Dr. Salehan’s research has appeared in premier journals such as Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, and Information & Management. Dr. Salehan was the recipient of College of Business Administration’s Sheth Award for Scholarly Excellence in 2021. Dr. Wadhwa is an Associate Professor of Management and Leadership in the College of Business Administration at Cal Poly Pomona. Besides her doctorate in management, she has a master’s degree in Sociology, and a second master’s in Leadership Development. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Wadhwa has worked for both for-profit and not-for-profit sector. She has an extensive work experience of managing, training, and developing human resources in the for-profit sector. She has also consulted for agencies such as the United Nations World Food Program, United Nation Development Fund for Women, World Bank, Plan International, etc. on various social development issue. One of her primary expertise areas is team development, and besides teaching CBA students about how to be effective team members, she regularly offers team building training to various entities at both CPP and beyond. She also leads various curriculum improvement and student success initiatives both at the CBA and at the university-level. Dr. Wadhwa teaches management and leadership courses both in the undergraduate and the graduate programs at the CBA and was the recipient of the Faculty of the Year award in 2022. Dr. Wadhwa’s research interests broadly lie in the areas of diversity and inclusion, organizational change, business ethics, strategic human resources management, and positive organizational scholarship with a focus on how employees experience work. Her research has been published in reputed Management Journals including Academy of Management Learning and Education (AMLE), European Business Review, and Gender in Management: An International Journal among others. Her work has also been presented at various business management conferences including the Academy of Management, Western Academy of Management, Southern Management Association, MOBTS, USASBE and AMCIS.

His research interests lie in algorithm design, systems modeling and optimization, and application of learning algorithms in business and engineering fields. Dr. Gerd Welke is an Associate Professor in Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business Administration at CalPoly Pomona. He received his Ph.D. in Real Estate Finance from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in 2006. His research interests include the real estate capital markets, housing market efficiency and policy, and asset pricing in behavioral finance. He is the Director of the Real Estate Research Council at CalPoly and is a board member of the National Housing Law Project, and has consulted widely for industry, including derivatives valuation for balance sheets, as a FINRA real estate capital markets expert witness, on Merton default models for real estate assets, and insurance pricing. In a prior incarnation, he tried using BBGKY hierarchies to study transport properties of nuclear matter and deconfined hadronic plasmas.

Alireza Yazdani is an Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations Management at the College of Business Administration, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Alireza’s research interests relate to retail operations, pricing models, and service operations. In particular, he studies firms’ product and pricing decisions in response to market characteristics including competition, heterogeneity, and strategic consumer behavior. Alireza has taught courses in both supply chain management and business analytics desciplines. Alireza earned his PhD in Operations and Business Analytics from University of Oregon in 2019. Prior to joining the PhD program, he earned both BSc (Industrial Engineering) and MBA degrees from Sharif University of Technology. He has worked in professional capacities in three different industries (auto-manufacturing, petroleum, and banking), with responsibilities ranging from marketing and strategic planning to systems analysis and organizational development.

Shuo Zeng is Associate Professor of Technology & Operations Management at the College of Business Administration. He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Eller College of Management, University of Arizona in 2015. He also received a M.Eng. in Computer Science in 2007 and a B.Eng. in Automation in 2004 from Tsinghua University, China. His teaching interests are business analytics, operations management, and information systems. His research interests include game theory and contract theory applications in operations management, sharing economy, and business analytics in e-Commerce. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration/Management Information Systems from Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma in 2005. Before joining in CPP, he was an associate professor at University of Wisconsin Parkside. His teaching interests are business data analytics, information security & auditing, and information systems Management. His recent research interests include information technology investment, organizational communication, and business analytics.
